Wine Terms in Whiskey As a wine and whiskey guy, the rise of wine terms being used in the whiskey world is interesting. Specifically thinking about the term “terroir”. As one is a fermented product and the other is a distilled product, I feel we should have different language for whiskey than we do for wine. Using our long established geographical jargon, we should build on it, evolve it, rather than wholesale borrowing language from the wine world. Thoughts?
