Cracking open this 12 year old Bunnahabhain bottled by Cadenhead’s! It’s a a right Sherry bomb. Sweet stewed fruits for days on the nose. Dry sour grapes on the palate and an incredibly dry finish. Milk chocolate. There’s a salty unpeated Islay that sticks it nose out every now and then. It drinks more like a strong Sherry than a scotch. Will I reach for it when I want a scotch? Not sure yet.
