Maybe a controversial view point, but does anyone think that whisky regions in Scotland are still valid in this day and age? It seems to me one of those antiquated concepts which people feel they have to remember which flavour profile is most associated with a region, and now there’s an ever increasing number of peated Speysides or sherried Islays or wonderful grain whiskies which just tear the notion of regions to tatters.
