Last night @hrc and I went to Reynold’s Bar in DC to the 15th Anniversary of Women Who Whisky event featuring the release of Laphroaig 15. The tasting was led by Sarah Dowling, Laphroaig’s Senior Whisky Blender. Whiskies tasted were: Laphroaig 10 Laphroaig 15 Laphroaig 10 sherry cask finish Laphroaig 14 Willem by Willem Sarah was excellent at guiding the tasting. She noted that although this is a return of the Laphroaig 15, they did not try to recreate the flavor of the original 15. It was also nice to get to try the 14 Willem by Willem as I have never encountered a bottle in the wild. Depending on price, I’d pick up a bottle if I ever located one. It was also nice to see a good number of women at the event enjoying the whisky!
