Celebrating Labor Day along with relaxing after my wife @MThomas & my performance at the Chicago Jazz Festival yesterday. We’re revisiting what remains of the Glenmorangie Tale of Cake. We’ve had this a while and we’re getting to the bottom layer of this cake🤣 We’ve enjoyed it but we’re not knocked out by it. A little time just relaxing in the bottle seems to have brought out some of the wood notes. Better than I remembered. I’ve enjoyed a few whiskies finished in Tokaji casks. This is growing on me. It’s not as sweet as I remembered. We never really got into the rest of the “Tale of…” series as they seemed a little pricey for the 46% NAS presentation. Which ones have you tried and enjoyed? 🍥🍰
