Enjoyed a delightful Linkwood 13YO bottled by The Single Cask Co in their Singapore bar recently. It’s finished in an ex-Moscatel Octave and as expected, lots of floral notes and honey sweetness. What surprised me was the strong bitter orange taste. If I was guessing, I would have said the whisky was finished in a cask that had some Grand Marnier in it previously. 😝 Really do enjoy the citrus/orangey flavours. Certainly a dram worth getting your hands on if you can find a bottle. Only 65 bottles. It was also surprisingly easy to drink despite being just a 13YO and having an ABV of 55.3%
