Second drink at HOUSE OF MERLIN in Saigon, Vietnam. This time the much sought after Ardbeg 10 Cask Strength. I don’t know why I expected more… guess it’s because of the intense hype surrounding its release. It is after all just a cask strength version of the 10YO and that’s exactly what it tastes like. 🤣 For some reason I was expecting some “extra magic”. It’s a really good wee dram but it is just an Ardbeg 10 with all its nuances magnified. Enjoying the drink and happy I’ve had a chance to experience it but don’t think I’ll chase getting a whole bottle. I actually prefer some of the Kilchoman cask strength bottlings to this.
