Had a lovely wee dram of a Duncan Taylor bottled 14YO Bunnhabhain yesterday. A single cask with an outturn of just 354 bottles. This is a rare Bunna in the sense that it is fully ex-Bourbon matured. No exposure to ex-Sherry. On the nose, it was floral, notes of honey and vanilla. On the palate - delightful! You can get some sea-salt, a little minerally and some pepper spice. It had a delicate honey sweetness. Quite a long finish. Largely a fruity feel with some spice. The sample was courtesy of the Malaysian importer, SINGLE & AVAILABLE.
