Had a wee dram of German single malt in Singapore recently. Slyrs Single Malt Rum Cask Finsh. It stirred a mixed reaction in me. The whisky was decent and an easy drink. Flavours were generally pleasant with vanilla and some woodiness dominating. What disappointed me was the lack of any discernible rum notes, even though it is supposed to have had a rum cask finish. Anyone know any Slyrs single malt expression worth trying?
