Had a Old Pulteney 15 at SPECTRUM, the rooftop bar at Hyatt Regency Bangkok, last night. Good single malt with a lovely view. Only drawback… didn’t see the bottle (which was near empty) when I ordered. The whisky tasted just that bit “muted” in its complexity. Probably been oxidising quite a bit sitting at the bar with only a little whisky left in the bottle. Lesson learnt: Always ask to look at the bottle before ordering. 😊
