This year’s St Patrick’s Day pour for me. A bottle I have been keeping since 2011/2012 This old bottling of Powers John’s Lane 12YO is one of the best Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey I have experienced. Superb drinking experience. The Oloroso influence comes across well. Not overly sherried, very well balanced. The newer bottlings sadly seem to have lost some of the “ooomphhh” that this older bottling has. Hence this bottle is a real treasure. Happy St Patrick’s Day to all celebrating.
