Late birthday shopping in Boston. Been reading great reviews on Triple Eight’s Notch single malts and sampled the 15 year at the store. While I appreciate the economics of whisky production for small craft distillers, $250, $350, and $500 for 8, 12, and 15 year olds at 48% seem a little steep for my taste. The Lost Lantern’s 10 yr 62.1% bottling at $160 appears to be a better value proposition (albeit $160 is still expensive). But is it any good? Will report back next week. Cheers!
