On Holiday… the drinking begins. 😊 Benromach 2012 Batch 3 On the nose, it reminds me of a slightly burnt BBQed meat, shoe polish and dark cherries that have been juiced. On first taste there is an explosion of flavours! Wow. This is a truly lovely wee dram. Needs thought to discern the multitude of flavours. Raw tobacco, palm sugar, cinnamon, hints of aniseed, some umami notes that remind me of nori (Japanese seaweed). Finish… wow; this wee dram just goes on and on. Whilst some of the tannins pop up on the finish, it also warms the throat as it slides down. It feels woodier on the finish. I’m getting some thoughts that I might be chewing on Angelica root. Yums!
