Greetings! Birthday dram #1 I’ve had this bottle for over a year now (maybe two), but my birthday seems like the best time to crack it open. Barrell Craft Spirits did away with the Stellum line, but these black labels were absolute bangers. This Fibonacci blend (reportedly) used barrels aged 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and 21 years old. It was not officially disclosed, but they said six barrels following the Fibonacci sequence. I really hope it has some 21 year old juice in it. Let’s go! Stellum Black Rye Fibonacci Blend #1 115.12 proof (99-ish) Nose- the aroma is the weakest part. There’s a touch of oak, some rye spice and a hint of brown sugar and caramel sweetness to balance out the spices that you know are coming. The sweetness comes out more with time, but I can’t wait to sip! Taste: This is where it shines. The cardamom, the caraway, black pepper and cinnamon- it’s such a beautiful balance with sweetness and spice. The finish lasts for minutes with soft clove, dark caramel and oak flavors. The finish is long - what would you expect with 115 proof? This is the best expression of blending I’ve yet to come across. My grade: A+ Cheers!
