Had another Scallywag Winter Edition a few days back. This time their 2022 release that was fully matured in ex-Sherry casks. A pleasant if simple blended malt. Has your typical palm sugar, raisin & chocolate notes. Reasonably good value. I’d perhaps have liked it a little more if I had not experienced their wonderful 2025 release (with ex-Ice Wine cask finishing) a couple of weeks earlier. If rating on a scale of 100, I’d have given the 2025 release a score of 85 and this, perhaps an 80. #whiskydev #scallywag #douglaslaing #scotch #whisky
