I just came back from a trip to the Isle of Föhr (of the German northsea). I visited the Hinrichsen’s Farm Distillery. They actually have a rich connected history to the states. They are young (2019) but the farm has been around since 1630 (!). And their whisky is already great. They just yesterday won three awards at the World Whisky Awards in London including best category winner sustainable distillery and single estate distillery.
