Had a great night yesterday at Lark Distillery’s (from Tasmania, Australia) global launch of their new range of single malts. Honoured that they chose Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the venue for this event. Rubbed shoulders with the godfather of Australian whisky, Bill Lark and also met Lark Master distiller Chris Thomson and CEO Stuart Gregor. I’ll share my experience with their new expressions in other posts to follow. This post has to be about what was probably the most delightful wee dram I have had for many a year, Lark Distillery’s “1911 PARA VINTAGE TAWNY CASK”. Only one word in my tasting notes… WOW! Its retail price is approx AUS$5,000 - is it worth the price? Depends on whether you buy into the history of the bottling but I must say it’s an incredibly delicious dram. ❤️
