Join me and Snævar Albertsson of the Sall Farm Distillery in Denmark for a nice whisky talk behind the distillery. Thank you Snævar for your hospitality and kindness. You are doing a great job creating some amazing local terroir driven single malts. For the rest of the world: If Denmark is not on your radar by now, I highly recommend to change that. A lot of things are happening in Denmark right now and they’re already is some fantastic whisky that will become even greater by the month - not because of age but because of innovation and further developing this great industry. In my humble opinion Denmark is much more than a part of Scandinavian Whisky. I personally feel it is the driving force behind it. There is a high focus on local ingredients, environmental friendly products (many of which organic), innovation (not as a buzz word but out of curiosity) and something that I feel many producers and distilleries seem to have forgotten: patience. I have no doubt that Denmark will be one of the great whisky nations with a quite unique profile to differentiate itself from Irish, Scotch and American whisky. Not better or worse bit different. And in today’s over saturated whisky market that is not only a good thing, I think it is even necessary to survive on the long run. Cheers, Slainte and Skol my friends! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp9dz1lMnV8&list=PLmY86S1VFuT__eZUaJXqMy-U5uB4_ZZkV
