Last weekend, in addition to Widow Jane, @WhiskyRanked and I visited Kings County Distillery at the former Brooklyn Navy Yard. Great visit with a knowledgeable guide, and some unique equipment. Some maturation onsite, and a maturation warehouse in Patchogue, Long Island, NY. The tasting included a blended bourbon, straight bourbon, peated bourbon, and coffee whiskey. My favorite was the straight bourbon. The peated bourbon was new to me and, honestly, the coffee whiskey (straight bourbon cut with cold brew) is a delicious drink that would go great over ice cream. We also had a sample of their "hazmat" whisky (158.2 proof, 8 y/o, slightly peated)..serious stuff. Had fun and thanks to Hannah for the tour.
