Cracked open this 13 year old unpeated Bunnahabhain to celebrate my daughter turning thirteen. Distilled in 1997 and bottles in 2010 (if it isn’t actually 13 it’s close enough 😁) it clocks in at a mild 43%. Picked this one up over 10 years ago for about €90 and it’s been on my shelf since. Sweet fruits, caramel, biscuit, and a little floral on the nose. The sweetness diminishes on the palate and the biscuit at floral notes take the stage with a bitter note on the back end. There is a lovely buttery mouthfeel. I’ll give this a preliminary score is an 8/10. Best of all, cracked it with two of my best friends!
