Just got off the phone with Jim McEwan...he's completely overwhelmed with being named a member of the Order of the British Empire. Told me he'd never even dreamed of getting an honor like that, and was floored when the official notice came from London on November 30th (St. Andrew's day in Scotland). Had to go to the grocery store in Bowmore this morning and couldn't get in because of all the people wanting to shake his hand. Will have the interview on this weekend's WhiskyCast.
