Just opened this Glen Fohdry private label bottling. 12yo speyside, non-chill filtered, natural color, bottled at 47.1%. So surprised that this is a smoky speyside; was not expecting that! I bought this for $42+tax. Excellent value! You just have to be willing to not know from where it comes. Though, this is from Quality Spirits International, which says it is a "wholly owned subsidiary of the largest independent scotch whisky company." Which leads me to believe this is from William Grant & Sons! Imagine buying a 12yo non chill filtered and natural color smoky Glenfiddich or Balvenie at 47.1% for $42!
