Stumbled across another Western Australian whisky distillery based in Perth. The family owned Lisandras Distillery, unfortunately was unable to buy or sample their whisky until some serendipitous circumstances found me with a couple of their batch #1 Hungarian Oak single malt being available. My findings: Lisandras Hungarian Oak Batch 1 Single Malt Australian 👃🏻 Wild berries, such as blackberries, currants, gooseberries and some faint sultana notes. Madeira cake 👅 Flavours of a red wine or port, a richness such as some dessert like red velvet cake. A Ruby kind of feeling and left with dark or red fruit coating the gums and cheeks 🏁 Delicate, subtle and short but nice.
