McGregor was found liable for sexual assault last week in an Irish court, and The Irish Times reports the owner of the Costcutter and Carry Out off-license retailers cites the verdict as the direct reason for the move, quoting a company spokesperson as saying “This action reflects our commitment to maintaining a retail environment that resonates with the values of our customers and partners.” We've contacted spokespersons for Proximo Spirits, which acquired Proper No. Twelve in 2021 but continues to employ McGregor as a spokesman, whether the company will continue to maintain ties with the MMA fighter in the wake of the verdict.
