I’ve been thinking all day long about Dominic Roskrow, one of the best whisky writers in the business. He died this weekend at the age of 61 after a previously undiagnosed ulcer went septic. Dom and I shared many press trips over the years, and got to become close. He was a great help in the early days of WhiskyCast when he was editor at Whisky Magazine, and became a good friend in the years that followed. He was brash, outspoken, and man, could he write. I wish I could write about Whisky half as well as Dom did…his books are essential reading for any new whisky lover. Rest well, my friend. I’ll be pouring a glass of something special in your honor tonight.
