With only five cereal grains being allowed under SWA guideline definitions, these are Barley, Wheat, Corn, Rye and Oats. Do people think that this definition is the most likely to be updated or adapted, thus allowing other cereals’ to be used for future purposes? I was thinking maybe for sustainability reasons, crop rotation, disease or other restrictions on resourcing grains and of course innovation.
