So this weekend we had a Glenallachie single cask tasting, and for the first time I tried a whisky matured in ex Marsala wine cask. It had the most odd and wonderful notes… phosphorus (powder even) and Peruvian fried corn. Has anyone tried something in ex Marsala with similar or other odd notes?
