What would be people’s opinion be, if whisky bottlings carried a certification or kite mark on their label to show they are fully natural or free from additives or colouring? Should it delve deeper, to have a category for whiskies presented with no colouring or non-chill filtered/additional filtering and unadulterated? With prices for our favourite tipples increasing, I personally would like to have more information of what’s in a liquid. This is not to say I don’t like whiskies that are below 46%, potentially chill filtered or have E150 caramel colouring, as there are some great drams in this category.
