I finally got my hands on a bottle of the new Dewar’s 12-Year Old that came out about 6 moths ago. It was hard to find in my area (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) but I came across at the nearby Pavilions market and they had it on sale for about $22 - a real bargain (I think the regular price was still only about $26). There are so many whiskies now days that you practically need a loan to buy, it is such a pleasure to come across excellent ones for $30-$35 and sometimes (like this) way under. I just can’t see spending more, at least most of the time. Maker’s 46, Henry McKenna, Evan Williams Single Barrel, JW Black Label, Jameson Stout Edition, and even the tried-and-true Knob Creek and Woodford Reserve whiskies - Just amazing for the price. Now I know it all depends where you are when it comes to price, but I would like to ask - what are some of your favorite whiskies in this price range? Cheers to all and Happy Memorial Day and thanks to those to have served! -Ken Goldenberg
